In my second year of law school, I realized that I had worked way too hard up to that point to live a life that didn’t make me happy or didn’t give me the flexibility that I wanted. So I decided to start my own law firm RIGHT OUT OF LAW SCHOOL.
Yeah, everyone thought I was crazy, and tried to talk me out of it. But I committed to my dream and invested in myself. And guess what, I figured out the keys to getting clients and building a profitable practice, even as a new lawyer.
I got my first client on the first day I opened my firm ($500 just to send a two-page letter…whoa!). And just a few months later, I started consistently making five-figures each month! It’s a special sauce that I created…and now I’m giving YOU the recipe!

LLCs and Contracts
We’ll dive deep into business entity formations and how to appropriately advise your client on which structure is best for them. We will also review several key contracts for entrepreneurs so that you can confidently draft, review, and revise them for your clients. In week 1, you will learn:
The difference between a variety of business structures and how to advise your client on which entity is best for them
How to form an LLC or other business entity IN ANY STATE

Trademark Searches and Registrations
Trademarks are major money makers for entrepreneurship attorneys. Every entrepreneur has (or should have) a brand that they need to legally protect and own – and trademarks are the way to do so! In week 3, you will learn:

How to advise your client about trademark protection based on their stage in business
How to efficiently do a comprehensive trademark search for names and logos using search code combinations
How to analyze trademark search results to give your client accurate advice

Dayna Thomas, Esq. is a trusted and influential entertainment and entrepreneurship attorney and author in the Atlanta area and nationwide.
